she liked Imaginary Men best of all

I just saw an ad for this movie that I had not heard of:

It is apparently an American remake of a Danish film but to me it looks like a classic soap opera staple storyline:

Presumed dead guy comes back from the dead to find wife/lover/soulmate

off with brother/twin/son/archenemy

and dramatic love triangle ensues

I could be wrong. It is Danish source material after all. And very highbrown with all these Oscar nominees and Jim Sheridan. But this clip sure makes it look like the type of thing I totally eat up with a spoon (except with war included). I’m already rooting for Jake because Tobey Maguire has always kind of creeped me out (and this look is not helping). Plus I find Jake pretty adorable since he was cooking on Ellen.

And it has U2’s Bad in the trailer? Only one of my favorite songs ever! When they played it in Dublin this summer my mom and I burst into tears of complete joy.

December 4 I know where I’ll be. Synopsis here if you need more than the trailer, unlike me who is sold.
